Lagos Residents Use Horses To Go to Work Following Government Ban on Okada and Keke (Video)

Lagos state residents have stated the use of horses to go to work after government ban on bikes and tricycles within some areas in the state

According to reports by CorrectNG, today been Monday 3rd February, Lagos state residents were spotted in different locations conveyed by horse, following the implementation of the 2012 Lagos Traffic Rule which restricts commercial motorcycles and keke from plying major roads and highways with the Lagos metropolis

Mr. Gbenga Omotosho the commissioner of information and strategy to Lagos state said this decision was to reduce the high risk of road accident caused the mode of transportation in question

The ban was pronounced last December but took effect from February 1st.

The restriction order has affected six local government,(Apapa, Apapa Iganmu, Lagos Mainland, Yaba, Suruler, Itire-Ikate, and Coker-Aguda) nine local council development areas, 10 major highways and 40 bridges and flyovers across Lagos.
